Welcome to our journey
For years we nurtured the idea of having a little place on Earth where we could work on bigger scale projects as well as creating a beautiful space to live more sustainably.
In May 2020, during uncertain times the opportunity to accomplish such a dream came along and we grabbed it!
We couldn’t cross the country to go visit the property before putting in an offer because of the ongoing lockdown at the time, but after some google street view drives around the area and knowing how quickly properties can sell on a heated property market, we decided we were up to take the risk.
It wasn’t until late Summer that we had the chance to visit and go see the property we had acquired.
It is a 1-acre piece of land with a derelict cottage to be renovated, mountain views, close to the Atlantic, and near all the things we could have asked for.
In early September we moved into the property. In a month we had built a small dwelling, which is currently our tiny home, so we could start working on building our dream homestead a little bit at a time.
